If you want a deeper cleanup, also select cookies and cached images. Expect some websites to sign you out after clearing cookies.

5. Select Browsing history.
6. Tap Delete data.

Clear Samsung Internet history

Menu names can vary by Samsung Internet version. Look for privacy, browsing data, or personal data settings.

1. Open Samsung Internet.
2. Tap the menu icon.
3. Open Settings.
4. Tap Personal browsing data or Delete browsing data.
5. Select Browsing history and any other data types you want to remove.
6. Confirm Delete.

Check Google activity

Clearing Chrome history on Android does not necessarily delete Google Search activity from your Google account. If you searched while signed in, manage Google activity separately.

This is a common confusion: browser history is the local list in the browser, while account activity is stored by the service account.

If someone else uses your phone

Use a lock screen, separate profiles where available, and avoid saving sensitive searches in browser history. Browser cleanup helps, but access control matters more if another person can unlock the device.
